We are Green

Fabric Duct Systems recognizes the importance of caring for the environment in which we live and work. As a result, we are continually looking for better ways to enhance each Q-Sox fabric duct as a Green Product in its production, delivery and operation.

Green for the Environment
Installing Q-Sox fabric ducts improves the air quality in every building by creating more effective air distribution and requiring less energy consumption in its operation.

Natural resources are conserved in many ways. Less waste/scrap is generated during production than for metal ducts. Due to their lighter weight, less material is used and less energy and lower costs are required for shipping. Also, because of their design, quick and easy installation means less energy is required and less jobsite waste is generated when installing a Q-Sox fabric duct. We even use or remnant fabric for charitable causes! (CLICK to Ukraine Connection)

Green for the Economy
You will see a great economic benefit in using a Q-Sox fabric duct system. Fabric ducts cost less to produce than sheet metal ducts, providing an immediate benefit in initial costs. The cost of delivery to your job site is greatly reduced due to their lighter weight and smaller packaging. Ease of installation means lower labor costs and significantly less time spent for system installation. Plus, the cost of ongoing maintenance is reduced because they can be easily removed and laundered, and the color-fast dye eliminates the need for periodic painting.

Green for the Employees
Working in a building that has Q-Sox fabric ducts installed can bring many benefits. A better work environment is created when there is more effective air distribution and thereby air quality is improved. The comfort level of workers is enhanced as the fabric duct s reduces system noise, and a more uniform temperature environment is maintained. In fact, studies show that people working in a more comfortable work space are more productive.

The "Green" Future of Low Velocity Ventilation Systems
Three contemporary industrial requirements will insure the adoption of low velocity air distribution systems in the future:

  • First, the need to supply higher indoor air quality has never been greater.
  • Second, outdoor ventilation air is the only prescriptive method to provide clean, low ppm indoor air.
  • Third, the fuel and electrical costs of heating and cooling ventilation air must be minimized. Low velocity air distribution provides a satisfactory solution to all these requirements.

As the demand for higher indoor air quality increases, the quantity of ventilation air will increase proportionately. Inevitably, as the demand for economical operating costs and ventilation air increase, Low velocity duct systems are becoming a standard system to insure higher indoor air quality throughout the world.
